I am at an interesting stage in my life. I have a challenging job, I work really hard and often neglect the things that should matter most - family, health and friends. Getting the balance right is tricky - its one big juggling act.

I am a CIO in the HE sector - which is very rewarding. I enjoy running (although I have had a year out and am stuggling to get back into it). I am a member of an Acapella chorus and I sing  four part harmony with the Sheffield Decibelles for fun and friendship. I like to garden - have a small allotment and a greenhouse. The tomatoes haven't been great this year.

I brought up two boys (now men) on my own whilst developing my career - that was hard work and shaped me a lot. I was so independent that I said I would never get married - but I did and am now a wife and between us we have four children and we both work really hard.
